April 12th 2009: Babette's Feast directed by Gabriel Axel

  This astonishing film won an Acadamy Award as best Foreign Film. Tjhe feast turns the tables and leads to redemption and forgiveness. A must see movie.  

   
May 10th 2009: Millions directed by Danny Boyle.

  The hottest director on the planet at the moment, leads us on a journey that will warm your heart. Find a million pounds and see what the people around you are made of.

   

  June 14th 2009: The Pursuit Of Happyness directed by Gabriele Muccino.

  This is a story of extremes, leading us to deep ethical questions. Bring the tissues.

  
July 12th 2009: This film starts at 19:00  A Time To Kill  directed by Joel Shumacher.

  Racism leads to a courtroom drama. Justice prevails???? 

  
No Film in August

  September 13th: The Secret Life of Bees directed by Gina Prince-Blythwood.

  A fantastic film that will tug at your heartstrings. Dakota Fanning and Queen Latifah star. This is probably the best film of the season.

   

  October 11th 2009: The Trueman Show directed bt Peter Weir.

  Fake life, fake world, what is left for Truman? This is an unusual film with dark and strange undertones.

   

  November 8th 2009: I Have Loved You So Long directed by Philippe Claudel.

  Trying to get back to a normal life is harder than you think. An influencial film featuring the brilliant Kristin Scott Thomas. 

   

  December 6th 2009: PLEASE NOTE THE DATE  Miricle on 34th Street directed by George Seaton.
